Personal Profile

Yun Li. Male. Research Assistant Professor. Master's Supervisor. He serves as a youth council member of the mineral materials division of the Chinese Ceramic Society. His research mainly focuses on mineral surface-interface interactions and gas hydrates. As the first/corresponding author, he has published 10 SCI papers in academic journals such as ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Applied Surface Science, Applied Clay Science, and Langmuir, with a total of over 600 citations and an h-index of 14. He has been granted and applied for 5 patents. He has participated in the construction of the material genomics experimental facility in Shenzhen and the construction of the high-pressure neutron diffraction/imaging spectrometer (BL-15) at Chinese Spallation Neutron Source. He is the principal investigator of Shenzhen Science and Technology Program, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation.

Professional Areas

1. Studying the kinetics/thermodynamic properties of gas hydrates using a combination of surface-interface analysis techniques and molecular simulation methods.

2. Application of in-situ visualization experimental techniques (X-ray and neutron) in the field of unconventional oil and gas development, including natural gas hydrates, shale oil and gas, and tight oil and gas.

3. Studying the mineralogical mechanisms of carbon dioxide capture and storage and its applications in oil and natural gas resource development.
