1. Clean Solid Fuel Preparation and Conversion: Liberation of Fine Coal Particles, Micro-Nano Scale Surface Modification, Ultra-Clean and High Energy-Density Fuel Preparation and Applications, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for Clean Fuels;

2. Multiphase Flow Modeling and Simulation: Wet Milling Process Development, Micro-Nano Separation of Fine Particles, Catalytic Conversion of Alcohol/Ether Fuels;

3. Feasible Solutions for Clean and High-Efficient Utilization of Novel Carbonaceous Fuels in Engines, Boilers and Fuel Cells.
