Associate Professor at SUSTech and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Houston in the United States. He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics. In 2013, he received his Doctorate in Geophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He then worked at MIT as a postdoctoral researcher and then at Chevron as a research scientist. He has been maintaining long-term research cooperation with the oil industry. His specialties lie in seismic exploration, sonic well logging, and rock physics and rock mechanics research. So far, he has published over 20 papers in Geophysics, Geophysical Journal International (GJI), and other academic journals, and more than 30 SEG/EAGE conference papers.
