Dr. Lik Lam is currently a Research Professor in the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen, China. Dr. Lam obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2000. Dr. Lam has research interests in the application of advanced materials in civil engineering, including fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites and ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). He has authored or co-authored over 70 publications, including 40 SCI journal papers which have a total of 4,817 non-self citations (updated on 12 September 2019). Dr. Lam has received a number of prestigious awards, including China’s State Natural Science Award (Second Class Prize) from Central Government of the People’s Republic of China in 2013.

CEDD Contract No. NE/2017/01, Tseung Kwan O Interchange and Associate works (Contractor: CW-STEC-CMGC JV), Supply and delivery of precast pile cap shells and bridge segments. Design Manager (2018 - present).

Contract No. HY/2012/08 Tuen Mun – Chek Lap Kok Link North and South Ventilation Buildings, Supply of precast beams, columns and slabs (Main contractor: Dragages - Bouygues Joint Venture). Engineering Manager (2016 – present).

Contract No. CV/2012/09 Liangtang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point Site Formation and Infrastructure Works – Contract 2. Supply and delivery of precast concrete tunnel lining segments (Main contractor: Dragages Hong Kong). Engineering Manager, managed and directed the first application of precast steel fiber-reinfroced concrete (SFRC) tunnel lining (temporary) in Hong Kong (2014 – 2017).

Contract No. CV/2012/09 Liangtang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point Site Formation and Infrastructure Works – Contract 3 (Liantang Contract 3). Supply and delivery of precast concrete viaduct segments (Main contractor: Chun Wo). Project Manager (2013 – 2015) and Engineering Manager (2015 – 2017).

MTR Contract 1107, Sha Tin – Central Link Diamond Hill to Kai Tak Tunnels. Supply and delivery of precast tunnel lining segments (Main contractor: CW-Seli JV). Engineering Manager, developed precast steel fiber-reinfroced concrete (SFRC) tunnel lining for the intended use to replace conventional lining with reinforcement bars (2013 – 2015).

Contract No. HK/2012/08, Wan Chai Development Phase II, Central-Wanchai Bypass at Wan Chai West. Supply and delivery of precast concrete caisson seawall (Main contractor: Leader Marine Contractors Limited). Engineering Manager, determined the methodology for caisson production and delivery, designed the casting bed and the jetty for caisson launching using a semi-submersible barge(2013-2015).

MTR Express Rail Link Contract 822, Tse Uk Tsuen to Shek Yam Tunnels. Design, supply and delivery of precast concrete staircases for the Shing Mun shaft (Main contractor: Leighton

Contractors (Asia) Ltd). Design Manager, proposed and designed the alternative precast solution for the staircases in the shaft (2012 – 2014).
