· From 2017 until now: Research Assistant Professor of Southern University of Science and Technology;
· 2015-2017: Senior Researcher with Kuang-Chi Institute;
· 2014-2015: Postdoctoral researcher with McGill University in Canada

Project Experiences
· 2011-2014: He worked with the projects under the Swedish Research Council and the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, in charge of the design, preparation and testing of the micro/nano scale photonic devices based on Surface Plasmon Polaritons (SPP) waveguides; participated in projects on thermal tuning resonators based on optical metamaterial absorbers and on active photonic components utilizing III-V materials epitaxially grown on Si.
· 2014-2015: He participated in the cooperative project between McGill University and Huawei Central Research Institute, in charge of the chip design, protype construction and system testing of the optoelectronic hybrid switch matric composed of silicon-based active devices controlled by FPGA; and participated in the CREATE project under the support from National Research Council of Canada, in charge of the design, simulation and testing of the silicon-based optoelectronic devices and systems.
· 2015-2016: He worked with Kuang-Chi Institute and participated in the research on microwave structures and components; he led the project on active microwave metamaterials for the applications of beam-scanning antenna and active electromagnetic surface.
