Micronanoelectronic Technology and System Innovation Center
Prof WU was enrolled in the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician Jiang Xinsong began recruiting postgraduate of the robotics specialty in 1982, and Wu Xiangfang became the first robotics postgraduate recruited by Jiang Xinsong. He graduated in 1985.
Wu ever participated in the construction of the National Robot Demonstration Engineering Base and the National Robotics Key Lab, and was one of the key members of the earliest robot lab in 1980s.
He concurrently developed and designed the serialized micro-nano technical equipment, with the physical size thus processed within the nanometer scale, thus widely applied in such fields as new materials, new energy, photoelectron, sensors, MEMS and micro-nano robots.
From 1985 to 1992, he served as head of the topic group with the Robot Center of the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He had participated in the national 75 key project of articulated robots and robot controller as well as the 85 key project of intelligent robots.
He had developed the robots for arc welding, spot welding, paint spraying, and the application engineering of robots. From 1986 to 1992, he had participated in the development of the arc welding robots for making bicycle frames at Tianjin Bicycle Factory, the project of collaboration between numerically-controlled machine tools and robots at Beijing Miyun Machinery Factory, and the spot welding robot system for Golden Cup minibus.
From 1992 to 2000, he worked with Shenyang North Business Machine and Equipment Co., Ltd. (listed company), with more than 1,000 staff members. He served as Senior Researcher, Manger of the Development Department, factory director, Chief Engineer, General Manager of the industrial company.
He had participated in the National 95 Key Project: Real-time Network Money-collecting System and Visual POS (V-POS) Series Machines and Tools.
In 2001, he set up Juzhi Science and Technology Co., Ltd., serving as the first CEO, with the business scope covering the optical, mechanical and electrical complete equipment. During his office, the Company had 300 employees, with the sales volume of 200 million RMB.
From 2008 to 2016, he served as CTO of Yuanxin Science and Technology Co., Ltd./Shenyang General Robots Technology Co., Ltd.
From 2001 to 2016
In 2002, as the head in the design of micronano equipment, he designed the first MOCVD equipment for pre-production test in China in collaboration with the Semi-conductor Light Emitting Materials and Devices Research Center of the Ministry of Education which is used in the epitaxial growth GaN and ZnO photovoitaic semiconductor materials. At present, he serves as member of the MOCVD International Academic Conference Organizing Committee of China.
In 2005, he successfully designed the vacuum manipulator which was then put into operation in such fields as photoelectron microelectronics, new materials and new energy.
In 2009, he led the project of vacuum manipulators under the Scientific and Technological Innovation Fund of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
From 2011 to 2016, he served as Senior Researcher with Yiwu Center of the Institute of Shenyang Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
At present, he mainly engages in the following research: non-standard flexible intelligent equipment technology (including the robotic technology and AI technology), and the micronano equipment technology (the physical size processed is within the nanometer scale); The main application area includes: intelligent manufacturing and equipment (including replacing labor with robots), photoelectron microelectronics, new materials and new energy and nano technology.
From May 2001 to August 2005, he served as professor with Shenyang University of Technology, Director of the Embedded System Research Center of the Liaoning Key Lab, and Master Supervisor.
He founded the Engineers Cultivation Center, with the cycle of half a year to one and half a year. Source of students: selected from junior and senior students, who have acquired some capability in terms of engineering technology and design at the time of graduation. The Center has trained nearly 300 practical engineering talents for enterprises, and the salary level offered to them is 2 to 4 times that of the graduates of ordinary universities and colleges.
From 2005 to 2010, he trained doctoral candidates in collaboration with the University of Science and Technology of China.
In 2008, he was granted the title of Leader in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Suzhou New and High-tech Industrial Development Zone and selected as Director of Suzhou Entrepreneurship Elite Association.
In 2009, he undertook the project of vacuum manipulators under the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Technological Innovation Fund of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
