Dr. Li YU joined Southern University of Science and Technology in 2020. She is the Assistant Professor of the Center for Higher Education Research, Southern University of Science and Technology. Her research interests focus on university faculty and academic profession, quantitative evaluation of higher education policy, world-class university and education innovation, analysis of higher education big data. Currently, she is hosting a number of research projects at the national and provincial level. Dr. Li YU earned her Ph.D. degree in Economics and Education from Columbia University from 2014 and received her master’s degree from Management School, Lancaster University in 2005. From 2015-2019, she was the lecturer and advisor for master’s students in School of Education, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. From 2014-2015, she was the research intern at the Research department of Philadelphia Education Fund in the U.S. and evaluated the program effectiveness of the College Access Program.
