Dr. Zhang is an Associate Profesor in the Department of Earth and Space Sciences of SUSTech. In 2008, he graduated from Wuhan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics. ln 2014, he received his Ph.D. in Solid Geophysics from the University of Science and Technology (USTC). Then, he spent two years in USTC for his postdoctoral research. He joined SUSTech in December of 2016. Dr. Zhang takes abroad interest in seismology, including the earthquake rupture dynamics, seismic hazard, HPC in the earthquake, seismic wave propagation in complex media. Up to now, he has published more than 60 papers in geophysical journals. He received the 2017 Gordon Bell Prize from ACM, the 2018 Fu Chengyi Youth Science and Technology prize awarded by the Chinese Geophysical Society. In addition, he got the Excellent Young Scientists Fund from the National Science Foundation of China in 2019.
