Dr. He is an associate professor at the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. He received his BEng in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Lanzhou University in 2008. Then he obtained his MSc in Solid Mechanics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011 and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Hong Kong in 2015. Dr. He was a post-doctoral fellow in University of Hong Kong from 2015 to 2019. His research interest covers different aspects of physical metallurgy, including alloy design, deformation mechanisms, and phase transformation. Currently, his thrust of research also goes to the 3-D printable high strength steel. Dr. He’s research works have been published in top journals including SCIENCE, Acta Materialia and International Journal of Plasticity.
