Gao Bin

Gao Bin received his Ph.D. in Chinese studies from the National University of Singapore in 2021 and then served as a Junior Fellow in the Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts and Social Science at SUSTech. His research areas include classical Chinese literature, ancient Chinese philology, digital humanities, and Chinese studies overseas. He has published over ten papers in both domestic and international journals, such as the Journal of Malaysia Sinology, Journal of Macau Documentation and Information, Journal of School of Chinese Language and Culture Nanjing Normal University, and Journal of Chinese Verse Studies. He has also co-authored a book and led a research project as a principal investigator. Dr. Gao has been awarded several honors, including the Ph.D. Students Research Scholarship from the National University of Singapore, the Tan Ean Kiam Chinese Philosophy Award granted by Singapore Confucius Cultural Fund, and Guanghua Scholarship from Nankai University. At SUSTech, he teaches courses such as HMU081 Selected Readings of Classic Chinese Novel, HMU082 Appreciation of Classical Chinese Song Lyrics and English Translation Criticism, and HMU083 Selected Readings of Ancient Chinese Literary Classics.
