SELF-INTRODUCTION:

After completing his B.E. and Ph.D. at the National University of Singapore with a full scholarship from the Ministry of Education of Singapore, he became a researcher at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology and School of Biological Sciences, College of Science, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

 

In recent years, he has published several articles with high impact as first or corresponding author (including co-authorship), in Gastroenterology, Cell Research, Cell Host & Microbe, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Cell Report, mBio, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, etc. He has received fundings from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China (GPNSC), and the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission's Emergency Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Infection project.

RESEARCH:

1)The mechanisms of microbial-host interaction using organoids, primary cell culture models, animal models, and the clinical samples, which is combined with clinical applications for the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

2)Protect and reconstruct epithelial and vascular endothelial physical barriers with monoclonal antibody therapy and stem cell therapy accordingly.
