Professor Yi GONG received the Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2002. He is now a Professor at the South University of Science and Technology of China. Prior to his current appointment, he was employed at Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with which he still has active collaborations. He was a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Fellow and Visiting Professor at University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan, in 2009.
