Dr. Jie Wang  joined in Southern University of Science and Technology as an assistant professor (PI) in June 2020 and the research of Jie’s gourp mainly focus on the bioorthogonal chemistry, genetic code expansion and directed evolution of enzymes.

Jie Wang obtained his B.S. of chemistry from Wuhan University (WHU) at 2012, and then he got the Ph.D degree from Peking University (PKU). In the past ten years, Jie Wang worked at the Prof. Aiwen Lei group (WHU 2009-2012), Prof. Peng Chen gourp (PKU,2012-2020) and Prof. Chu Wang group (PKU, 2018-2020) for the study of organic chemistry, protein chemistry, bioorthogonal chemistry, genetic code expansion and chemical proteomics. Dr. Jie Wang developed a siries of chemical biology tools for the precise control of protein functions in living systems and published 4 papers as first authors in international refereed journals, including NatureJ Am Chem Soc and Angew Chem In Ed.
