王鹏,南方科技大学医学院讲席教授,博士生导师;教育部特聘教授、俄亥俄州杰出学者、佐治亚州研究联盟杰出学者;1984年获南开大学化学理学学士,1990获美国加州大学伯克利分校有机/生物有机化学博士,美国加州大学伯克利分校和斯克里普斯研究所博士后;美国迈阿密大学化学系助理教授,美国韦恩州立大学化学系正教授、终身教授,美国俄亥俄州立大学生物化学与化学系讲席教授,美国佐治亚州立大学化学系讲席教授,中国南开大学药学院院长,曾成立国家糖工程技术研究中心,并担任糖中心主任;承担过多项中国和美国的科研项目;拥有8项发明专利,参与6部学术专著的编写,在国际学术刊物上发表论文430多篇,H-指数 57 (Google Scholar) and 47 (Web of Science)。获得过多项国内和国际奖励。是多家国际学术刊物的副主编或编委。带领团队从事糖化学,药物化学,糖生物学,化学生物学,糖蛋白质组学等方面的基础科学研究;以及天然产物的生物合成工程,酶催化反应,绿色化学,生命中活性氮和氧的化学生物学研究。
